The People’s Team is not going to travel to Montería due to the natural fear that has arisen from the armed strike taking place in some regions of the country. The directors of the Antioquia team have already expressed their concern to the Dimayorwho insists that the match must be played.

“After evaluating the social and public order situation in the department of Córdoba, the institutional decision has been made not to travel to the city of Montería,” reported the DIM.

The Antioquia team established communication with those “in charge of the logistical issues that these trips require”, who assured that “the security of the delegation cannot be guaranteed”.

The president of Independiente Medellín stressed that “the life and integrity of people will always be more important” Than anything else, while confirming that the trip has already been canceled and the players have returned to their respective homes.

Meanwhile, Acolfutpro issued a statement asking to postpone the game “due to the lack of security guarantees as a consequence of the armed strike that affects Montería and other cities”.
