In the latest video of the Videomania YouTube channel, Péter Dancsó tried to get around the question of why the United States ambassador to Hungary, David Pressman, organizes dinners and gatherings to which he invites Hungarian influencers with the most significant followings. He first held such a meeting before Pride 2023, where he also invited Whisperton (Antal Strenner), a gay influencer with more than one million TikTok followers, and since then these gala dinners have become regular.
In 2024, another tiktokker with over one million followers, Csenge Forstner, was also invited by Pressman, but he also invited the duo formed by Norbert Osbáth and Márk Osbáth, PamKutya, to the embassy for a meeting. Dancsó also put in a pleasant remark that “the parties are going on” every week, and you can’t sleep because of them.

Dancsó then dedicates a very long section of his video to PamKutya, who “attended a special audience with the governor between two unpleasant McDonald’s commercials”, who, although they didn’t understand why they were invited, proudly posted it on their social media. According to Dancsó, this is nothing more than political agitation, nicely and colorfully packaged. However, if they also go to the ambassador in their windbreakers, he might even sign up for them.

– continues the videographer, implying that he thinks PamKutya is stuck at the level of “perpetual amateur filmmakers” and they only make content when some kind of sponsor pays for it – even though they were very much against it at the beginning. In his view, there would be nothing wrong with this if PamKutyás didn’t take themselves seriously, but when they even try to act, that’s the absolute bottom.
Sect building?
Finally, Dancsó also touches on what the purpose of the ambassador of a foreign country is with group photos taken at such dinners. What are these meetings really for? “Of course, you can think that only harmless acquaintances are taking place – as the naive PamKutya believes”, but in fact the purpose of these events is completely different, Dancsó believes.
Political agitation doesn’t start with being told right away what you have to do. In the long run, they gradually sweeten the influencers, so that later on they can post things that are the same as their interests.
– says Mr. Videomania. Moreover, there are more and more content producers who were not involved in politics at all before, but “in recent years there has been such sectarianism on the Internet” that even they cannot be avoided.
