Index – FOMO – Tamás Gajdos reacted to the appointment of Máté Gesztesi: Brave enterprise

As we wrote, following last year’s scandal, ATV found who will fill the duties of the outgoing Tamás Gajdos in the channel’s newsroom. The solution came in-house. In the future, viewers will be able to see Máté Gesztesi, the son of former actor legend Károly Gesztesi, in the news program, who until now was a weather reporter at ATV.

Tamás Gajdos has now revealed to story.hu that he has special feelings when reading the news. Since his departure, he feels great because he has a lot of new tasks and more time for his sports hobbies. At the same time, he admitted: he misses his colleagues and the great team that came together there in recent years.

In the interview he also said that he respected Máté Gesztesi, who was introduced as his successor, because of his qualities in the theater and film industry, but he added:

Let’s be honest, he hasn’t had much to do with reporting so far. A young, talented team has now teamed up with him, but apparently there is still a lack of a well-known name with adequate experience and professional prestige, who will authenticate and grant the prestige of the news station established in previous years.

According to him, throwing a talented, new face into the deep water a few months before the elections is a brave undertaking, “but the palm grows under the burden”. Tamás Gajdos wished good luck to Máté Gesztesi and the other members of the team, i.e. Anna Nemes, Anita Köböl, Luca Stohl and Géza Tóth.
