With the India-Afghanistan T20 series starting tomorrow in Mohali, fans are anxious to see who will play in India’s playing XI. Malayalam player Sanju Samson is challenged by Jitesh Sharma to play in the first eleven. Jitesh, who played in the T20 series against South Africa, is more likely to be the wicketkeeper.
In the absence of KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharma is currently India’s number one wicket-keeper in T20Is. The finishers combination of Rinku Singh and Jitesh had benefited the team in South Africa. Despite the absence of Suriya and Shreyas in the middle order, Kohli’s return is a setback for Sanju. Tomorrow’s match also has the special feature of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma playing T20 match for India after losing the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final. In the absence of Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Verma is expected to play at number four in the first match. If Tilak is not played, there is a possibility that Malayalee player Sanju Samson will be played at number four.
Rinku Singh will be the finisher at number five. Jitesh Sharma is more likely than Sanju to be a wicket keeper. Jitesh performed well in the T20 series against South Africa. Sanju’s past record in T20Is is poor.

In the absence of world number one all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel will be the spin all-rounder at number seven. While Kuldeep Yadav will be a specialist spinner, pacers Arshdeep Singh, Aathush Khan and Mukesh Kumar will also be in the playing eleven.
