India won first place in the fourth Asian Championships for juniors and girls in athletics, hosted by the State of Kuwait, with the participation of 30 Asian teams.

India won first place in the fourth Asian Championships for juniors and girls in athletics, hosted by the State of Kuwait, with the participation of 30 Asian teams.

India won 24 medals (7 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze) once morest China, Taipei with 9 medals (6 gold, silver and 2 bronze), and Uzbekistan with 8 medals (6 gold, silver and bronze).

The teams from: Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Yemen, Qatar, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, participated in the tournament. Thailand, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Nepal, Maldives, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, and Vietnam, in addition to Kuwait, the host country.

It is reported that the next edition of the tournament will be held in 2023 in Uzbekistan.
