Indian athlete Parveen Hooda won a medal in Asian Games women’s boxing. The player reached the semi-finals of the 57 kg category and qualified for the Paris Olympics. She entered the semi-finals after beating Uzbekistan’s Sitora Turdibekova. The judges declared Parveen the winner by unanimous decision.

In women’s hockey, the Indian team entered the semi-finals. They drew 1-1 against South Korea in their last match in Pool A.
