India announced their 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup, with Rohit Sharma leading the team.

India has announced its 15-member squad for the ICCT20 World Cup 2024 to be played in USA and West Indies in June this year.

The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) appointed Rohit Sharma as the captain and Hardik Pandya as the vice-captain for the mega event, while India has included 3 fast bowlers and 4 spinners in its squad.

The surprisingly experienced Lokesh Rahul and India’s most prolific bowler in the ODI World Cup, Mohammad Shami, did not make it into the squad.

Thanks to his excellent performance in the Indian Premier League, Yazvendra Chahal managed to make a place in the squad where along with him, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel are also part of the Indian team.

Fast bowlers include Jasprit Bumrah, Arsdeep Singh, Mohammad Siraj as well as medium fast bowlers like Hardik Pandya and Shiv Dubey.

Yashwi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Sanju Samson, Shivm Dubey, Surya Kumar Yadav, Reeshah Pant and Hardik Pandya will be there to support captain Rohit Shirkar in the batting line-up.
