External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi stated that 38.5 tons of essential items such as life-saving medicines, surgical equipment, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, sanitary items and water purification tablets are being delivered to Gaza. This is India’s first aid since the Israel-Hamas conflict started on October 7.

The Air Force’s largest cargo plane arrives in Gaza. With this, India also joins the ranks of rare non-Arab countries that come with aid to Palestine.
