PhiThe AIFF today announced the venues for India’s first two home matches of the FA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027 Preliminary Joint Qualifier Round 2. Bhubaneswar and Guwahati will be the venues for these matches.
India will be in Group A alongside Qatar and Kuwait, along with the winners of the preliminary qualifier round 1 between Afghanistan and Mongolia. India will face the reigning Asian Cup champions Qatar on November 21, 2023 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The qualifiers will begin with an away match in Kuwait on November 16. Either Afghanistan or Mongolia play once morest India in Guwahati. The venue for India’s home leg once morest Kuwait on June 6, 2024 will be decided later.
