The Indonesian⁤ U-20 national team, under the guidance of coach Indra⁢ Sjafri, ​is settling in smoothly ⁣in Shenzhen,‍ China,​ ahead of their opening match in the U-20 Asian Cup ⁤2025. The team ‍arrived in the⁣ bustling city on Sunday, February ⁢9th, and has as undergone a ⁤light recovery session ​at the ‍hotel. ⁣

Adapting to a New Environment

“Alhamdulillah.We arrived this morning [Sunday] in the city ⁤of Shenzhen,⁤ China. And ⁤today we recovery at the⁢ hotel. ⁢Players adapt enough to the weather and new environment,” said Indra ​Sjafri through a post on Instagram on Monday,‍ February 10th.

The Indonesian team’s official social media accounts‌ have shared glimpses of the players exploring the city of shenzhen, enjoying its vibrant atmosphere while acclimating to the new surroundings. Light training sessions have also been incorporated into the team’s schedule to maintain their fitness⁢ levels.

Looking Ahead to the Group Stage

Indonesia has been drawn into Group C alongside Iran, Uzbekistan, and Yemen. Their first encounter will be against Iran on Thursday, February 13th. The stakes are ‍high in this tournament⁤ as the top four teams will secure berths in the U-20 World ​Cup 2025 in Chile.

“Hopefully thes 23 players are able ⁤to provide maximum ability⁢ and ​be an answer to the expectations ⁣of all Indonesian people. We are optimistic that we can achieve the best‍ results at the U-20 2025 Asian Cup,” asserted Sjafri.
