Thiruvananthapuram: Culture Minister VN Vasavan made a mockery of actor Indrans in the Legislative Assembly. The Minister said that the Congress, which used to be the height of Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi cinema, is now approaching the size of Indrans in Malayalam cinema.
Vasavan made this remark when members of the ruling opposition discussed politics in relation to elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat while introducing the Kerala Cooperative Sangh Third Amendment Bill 2022 in the House.
“In post-independence India, the never-ending British Empire handed over power to the Congress. Where now? Actually, if we take a general view of the situation of the Congress, the Congress, which used to be the height of Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi cinema, has now reached the size of Indran in Malayalam cinema.’ Vasavan said.
