Industrialists in Karachi turn to solar, how much savings per unit – Business & Economy

Worried by high prices of oil, electricity, gas and coal, industrialists in Karachi have taken interest in solar energy, however, lack of space and limited capital have become major barriers to solarisation.

Due to long outages and high prices of electricity and gas, environmentally harmful fossil fuels, industrialists have started using solar energy in industries.

However, limited capital and space have become major obstacles for them to purchase and install solar systems.

Trader Baradi says that the industry never runs on load shedding, the industry requires regular electricity, water and gas, we are forced to go for this alternative.

Naeem, CEO of a company that installs solar systems in industries, says that five to ten percent of industries in Karachi have shifted to solar, while another five to ten percent will shift this year.

Declining prices of solar panels are also paving the way for solarization in industries.
