Indy Barends’ tears turned into smiles after Indra Bekti’s condition improved

Indy Barends be a close friend Indra Bekti who was surprised to hear the news that the famous MC had a ruptured blood vessel. On the day of the incident, Indy Barends burst into tears recounting the chronology of events when Indra Bekti was found unconscious in the bathroom. Now those tears have turned into smiles.

This happened because Indra Bekti’s condition had gradually improved. After the incident on Thursday (29/12/2022), Indra Bekti was immediately taken to Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Menteng, Central Jakarta, and received surgery. For several hours Indra Bekti underwent surgery before finally being transferred to the ICU.

Now the condition of the presenter Ceriwis has regained consciousness. But still in bed. However, he was able to joke and interact, including with Indy Barends, who actively reported his friend’s condition via social media.

“Earlier I was allowed to enter, I was very happy, meaning standing in the room where he slept,” said Indy Barends when met at Abdi Waluyo Hospital, Menteng area, Central Jakarta, ahead of this weekend.

“I call eh Bekti, I can’t hold back my emotions when I see him. Then he looks, ‘Hi J-Lo’, he calls me J-Lo. After a while he uses ‘Ng’. So, Jelong,” explained Indy Barends .

Even though he hasn’t fully recovered yet, Indy Barends is very pleased to see Indra Bekti’s current condition, which is now able to respond and interact.

“On the outside he hasn’t fully recovered yet, at least, it’s great that I can see him. At least there was a pleasant reaction today,” said Indy Barends.

Indra Bekti is still being treated in the ICU for observation. As of Friday (30/12/2022) afternoon, his condition was stable. This was reported by Indra Bekti’s manager, Roy, when contacted by journalists.

Roy also said that Indra was still in a semi-conscious state and was able to talk. However, Indra also still uses medical aids.

“Still half-conscious, already aware that I’ve had time to talk. It’s still all lapse,” he explained.

Asked whether Indra would leave the ICU, Roy said he couldn’t. Roy said Indra was still experiencing dizziness and there was still blood on his head.

“Not yet, still, he’s still dizzy, the blood is still in the head, it’s still slow, it has to be removed little by little,” he concluded.
