INE orders Xóchitl to lower the conference due to the use of the logo

MEXICO CITY.- The INE Complaints and Reports Commission ordered Xóchitl Gálvezpresidential candidate of the PAN, PRI and PRD, lower or modify your press conference on March 27 where he improperly used the logo of the electoral body.

The complaint was filed by the PT for the probable violation of the electoral propaganda guidelines of the coalition candidate Strength and Heart for Mexico.

The project establishes, declares, the precautionary measure should be declared appropriate for the improper use of the logo of the autonomous organization.

“Since, from a preliminary perspective, the improper use of the organization’s logo is noted, which could confuse the electorate. Since the Institute could be linked to the presidential candidate (Xochitl Galvez) and thereby violate the principle of impartiality in the electoral contest.”

The president of the Complaints Commission, electoral counselor Claudia Zavala, recalled that they had already issued precautionary measures on the issue.

“The use of the INE logo is reservedand we had pointed out that it was inappropriate, because it could generate confusion with the electorate by linking an emblem of an authority with political forces, which is why it is important that we make this clear.”

At the press conference on March 27, Xóchitl Gálvez used the INE logo to illustrate his proposal to the electoral body clarify that social programs do not belong to a political party.
