The decline in inflation in Austria to a bearable level, which many have longed for, is a long time coming. Rather, the recent downward trend was interrupted by an increase in inflation from seven to 7.4 percent in August – mainly due to rising fuel costs, Statistics Austria announced on Tuesday.
