Infographic: Sadio Mane, Senegal’s all-time top scorer

Sadio Mane, the Liverpool star, achieved a remarkable achievement with the Senegalese national team after scoring 3 “hat-trick” goals against Benin, in the first round of qualifying for the 2023 African Nations Cup in Cote d’Ivoire.

Sadio Mane became Senegal’s all-time top scorer with 32 goals, surpassing the previous record set by Henri Camara with 29 goals.

The Reds star scored 32 goals in a black Teranga shirt in 90 matches, then Henri Camara 29 goals in 99 matches, then El Hadj Diouf 24 goals in 70 matches.

The 30-year-old played his first international match with the Senegalese national team against Morocco, in a friendly match in May 2012, and signed his first goal against Liberia in June of the same year in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

The Senegalese team won the African Nations Cup for the first time in its history, after defeating our national team on penalties, in the edition hosted by Cameroon last January.
