The EuroMillions lottery has distributed a prize of 142 million euros (more than 150 million dollars) among 165 residents of Olmen, a small town in northern Belgium with 3,785 inhabitants, reports Archyde.com.

Each of the winners will receive around 900,000 euros (nearly $950,000) tax-free, EuroMillions spokeswoman Joke Vermoere told the agency.

As he explained, this is the first time that such a large group had won such a large prize in Belgium. “It’s a lovely story, really,” she said.

All the winners had deposited $15 into a jackpot set up at the local store where the EuroMillions draw is regularly held.

“At first, many winning customers didn’t believe it,” said shop owner Wim Van Broekhoven.

“We’ve had quite a few new customers since the big win, but no one in town holds a grudge against the winners,” Van Broekhoven said. “Everyone is really happy for them,” he added.

According to Broekhoven, a young woman in her 20s who is among the winners will buy a small house, although for the amount of the prize obtained, she could afford a larger house.
