He says: “There is a difference between coming back into the game and going back to your old performance. We want Cooper Kupp to return to his usual performance.”
“We know what a special player and special person he is and we want to make sure we’re smart about this and get him back to feeling like Cooper Kupp and playing the way he can, when whatever that is.”
The wide receiver was already struggling with injury concerns in the pre-season. Kupp only played nine games in 2022, suffered a serious ankle injury in the game against the Arizona Cardinals and required surgery.
Now he wanted to attack fully again – but he has to be patient again.
