Real Madrid won the Clasico this Saturday but may have lost Aurélien Tchouaméni for several weeks. This Sunday, the day after a victory at FC Barcelona (2-1), the Madrid club announced the injury of the French midfielder.
Uncertain for November rally
“Following the examinations carried out on our player Aurélien Tchouameni by the Real Madrid medical service, he was diagnosed with an incomplete stress fracture at the level of the second metatarsal of the left foot. Progress in progress,” announced a press release this Sunday morning.
As a reminder, the France team still has two matches to play to complete the Euro 2024 qualifiers, respectively against Gibraltar (November 18) and Greece (November 21). Real Madrid did not give a length of unavailability but Tchouaméni could miss six to eight weeks of competition depending on Spanish journalists.
Recruited for 80 million euros from AS Monaco in the summer of 2022, Aurélien Tchouaméni is experiencing his second year in Madrid. The 23-year-old has participated in all of his team’s matches since the start of the season, i.e. 14 matches in all competitions. Provisional leader of La Liga at the end of the 11th day, Real Madrid will return to competition next Sunday, with the reception of Rayo Vallecano, another Madrid team.
