Innsbruck – In Innsbruck the election campaign has apparently already fully flared up: On Thursday, another deputy mayor was voted out. Ex-ÖVP politician Johannes Anzengruber, who recently announced his own candidacy in the local council and mayoral elections in April 2024, was removed from office by a majority in the city parliament consisting, among others, of ÖVP, FI (For Innsbruck) and FPÖ. This is the third time a deputy city boss has been “removed” during this period.
