VIDEO – Since the broadcast of the program on Monday, November 6, the couple formed by the Norman farmer and the Alsatian have been struggling. And yet according to Mathieu, participant of season 15, the reality is much more brutal.

The end of a romance… or an ordeal? It all depends on your point of view. Each couple manages their functioning in their own way. However, for several weeks, that of Patrice and Justine is scrutinized by several thousand viewers in “Love is in the meadow”. Like every Monday evening since the start of the school year, the dating show broadcast on M6 has its share of twists and turns in store this November 6.

At the heart of this final episode closing season 18: the couple formed by the suckler cow breeder in Normandy and his Alsatian suitor. And the day after the broadcast, Cyril Hanouna’s team reacted to the sequence in “Touche pas à mon poste” in the company of a special guest: Mathieu , participant of season 15 of “Love is in the meadow”. And the man who is about to become a father lent himself to some revelations about the behind-the-scenes filming.

If everything started well for the two lovebirds, things have gone south since Justine moved into Patrice’s family home. Upon her arrival, the suitor – armed with her moving truck and her 15 boxes of stuffed animals – was somewhat directive towards her companion and his loved ones. “It is I who command” she had imposed herself when a family friend had already described her as “military”.

“The edit did not show 80%”

Planting the rose bush and the promise of a life together (or three with the pet rabbit Pompon) will not have been enough. The common future of Patrice and Justine is compromised as soon as they travel as a couple to Biarritz, just a few months after their first meeting. “I have the impression that she wants to rule the whole house, that she wants to rule my life”, Patrice then confides to the cameras. The breakup is from the outset one of the solutions considered by the farmer and… he seems to have already made his choice. While Justine clearly asks him what purpose she serves in Patrice’s life, he answers her with a sigh: “To nothing…”.

Faced with these images, the “TPMP” columnists decided to react. One of them, Gilles Verdez, advocates the clumsiness of the young woman. A defense immediately countered by the guest, ex-participant of the program. “The thing is that in the editing, from what I know, we didn’t show 80% so your judgment is on this 20%. But there are things, coming from her, that were very, very hard”, he reveals, looking serious. Stung, Cyril Hanouna’s team asks Mathieu for more explanations. He then explains that daily life alongside Justine was martial. “She was a manager. I don’t know if it was meanness on his part but he perceived it as meanness”clarifies Mathieu.

There was the intervention of the psychologist

“He’s at the end of his rope, at the end of his rope. And then, you will see the results…”, he says with a look that says it all. Annoyed by this reality, Géraldine Maillet then speaks, affirming that this is exactly why she “hate the show. “It’s throwing extremely fragile people out to pasture.” This is when Mathieu adds the reason why a large number of sequences were cut during editing.

“There was a big awareness of production, to protect them as much as possible”declares Cyril Hanouna’s guest, confirming that a danger was present. “They were afraid of the flashback, of what they were going to do afterwards… We can talk about suicide afterwards so if something like that happens… There was the intervention of the psychologist”reveals the former participant of the show.
