Courtiers concede this may weigh on William, just like his father Charles once did, he may suffer if cameras are trained on his more glamorous wife. Unlike Charles, however, William should give his wife the limelight and support her in taking on more solo dates in the future. According to the nobility connoisseur, he is much more self-confident than his father was in the 1980s.
“William is seen as the boring guy in the blue suit. The bluebloods always pretend they don’t want attention, but of course they do,” a palace insider is quoted as saying. “However, William fully accepts his wife’s popularity. Their marriage is strong.
