A Tez2 insider who previously shared mostly Rockstar game news, toldthat game studios began to send out more powerful versions of the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The insider has no information on the timing of the release of the consoles. But there are several sources, probably among the developers who have already received improved consoles.
PS5 and Xbox Series X turned out to be very powerful for their recommended price. But apparently the experiment with PS4 Pro and Xbox One X was successful. The release of the latest generation of consoles took place in 2020. If the current generation cycle is 7-8 years, then the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X Pro versions can be expected around 2023-2024.
