Find Your Reels Sweet Spot: Instagram CEO Offers Video Tips for Creators
Ever asked yourself what the ideal resolution is for your Instagram Reels videos? You’re not alone. In a recent answer on his official account, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri provided insight into the best video settings for the platform.
Responding to a query from content creator Palakorn Aungkasit, who wanted to know the optimal export settings for Reels,
Mosseri affirmed that higher video quality is always better. While he recommends a minimum resolution of 720p with a frame rate of 30 fps, he encouraged creators to aim for the highest resolution possible.
"The short answer is that the higher the video quality, the better we can provide a high-quality experience to viewers," Mosseri explained, speaking on Friday, December 6, 2024.
However, he cautioned against solely focusing on technical aspects. He stressed the importance of thoughtfully crafting captivating content that resonates with the target audience.
"Viewers care more about whether your content is funny, entertaining, informative, or inspiring," Mosseri said. "I encourage creators to focus on the substance of their videos rather than solely on the technical quality."
That being said, Mosseri acknowledged the importance of high-quality visuals. "But if you care about quality, upload at the highest resolution and we will do our best to provide the highest quality experience," he added.
