Several users of Instagram reported on Thursday night (21) that the social network began to suffer from instabilities. According to reports, the platform Meta started disconnecting accounts and many thought they had been victims of a hacker attack.
Both on the smartphone and on the PC, when accessing the Instagram application, the user received the following message: “You have been disconnected. Enter again.” There were 1,873 incidents recorded on the Downdetector website, which monitors online services.
So far, Meta has not commented on the instability.
Among the incidents reported by users are: accessing the mobile application (66%); login (30%); postage (4%). Instability was at the top of the most talked about topics on X (formerly Twitter). A few minutes of instability generated repercussions and even memes:
