Instead of “Al-Nafr”… a new initiative to sell cooked meat in restaurants and kitchens in Makkah by weight!

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Acting Mayor of the Holy Capital, Saleh Al-Turki, called for the “Bal-Mizan” initiative, in order to adjust the standards of sale in kitchens and restaurants, and to replace the term “push” in selling cooked meat with “weight”.

This came due to the fact that selling by “aggregation” is prevalent, and it is used without any control, which makes the consumer complain and bewildered due to the quantity discrepancy between one establishment and another.

This initiative requires the provision of an electronic scale in every facility that is placed in front of the consumer. So that the request is by weight according to the desire in the quantity that meets the buyer’s need, and giving more options without forcing him to an unknown quantity mixed with bones, viscera, and so on.
