Intel revealed the fastest 12th generation Intel Core processor. It overclocks to 5.5 GHz

The day before yesterday Intel presented 12th Gen Intel Core processors for mobile devices, and today announced the KS lineup for desktop PCs.

One of the main features is the frequency of up to 5.5 GHz per core. The demonstrated Core i9-12900KS was tested in Hitman 3, and it consistently delivered 5.2 GHz across all cores. In the game, the chip gave out from 38.27 FPS to 333.07 FPS, but on average kept at the level of 100 FPS (although it is not indicated at what settings):

The processor is reported to be on sale later this quarter, but in the early stages only in already assembled computers. It will be temporarily impossible to purchase the new product separately.
