Ukraine continues to count its dead this Saturday after intense attacks carried out the day before by Russia on several of its cities, including the capital Kiev, killing around thirty people and injuring dozens of others, according to the authorities.
The wave of strikes, one of the most violent since the start of the war almost two years ago, targeted buildings, a maternity ward and even a shopping center but also industrial and military infrastructure.
Earlier in the day, a Ukrainian strike on a residential building left one dead in Belgorod and a total of 32 drones were intercepted, particularly in the Moscow region, Russian authorities announced overnight from Friday to Saturday.
The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed 13 missiles over the region. He also announced that 32 Ukrainian drones had been neutralized in total in the areas of Bryansk, Kursk and Orel, north of the Ukrainian border, as well as Moscow.
Belgorod is located 80 km north of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which was heavily hit by Russian forces on Friday morning according to Ukrainian authorities.
