Among the recommendations for the red alert, the National Meteorological Service highlights: “Stay away from riverine areas and, if you find yourself in one, look for shelter as high as possible. Avoid driving on flooded or affected streets. If you or someone else is affected by this phenomenon, contact local emergency agencies. Always have an emergency backpack ready with a flashlight, radio, documents and telephone.”
