“Yet another abuse, whistles have been banned,” the Curva Nord Milano group lamented on its Instagram account on Friday evening. This group announced last month that it wanted to distribute 50,000 whistles to spectators before the start of the match counting for the 10th day of the Italian Championship.
The Inter Ultras intend to defy this ban
The whistles, of which they had finally purchased 30,000 copies, were to be “used breathlessly every time whoever betrayed our jersey touches the ball”, explained the group of supporters without naming Lukaku. The decision was taken by the Milan police, on the recommendation of the Operational Security Group (GOS), responsible in Italy for securing football matches.
Inter ultras, however, planned to defy this ban and give Lukaku a stormy reception. With his 14 goals, the Belgian international was one of the architects of the great 2022-2023 season for Inter, unfortunate finalist of the C1.
