Paris (AFP) – Inter Milan consolidated its first place by winning on the lawn of Atalanta Bergamo 2-1 on Saturday during the 11th day of the Italian Championship while Naples seized fourth place thanks to its victory against Salernitana.

The Interists achieved their ninth success of the season and have 28 points out of 33 possible after 11 matches, five points ahead of Juventus, who will face Fiorentina on Sunday (8:45 p.m.).
The Milanese went on to a fourth match without defeat against the Bergamasques who fell to fifth place with 19 points.
Turkey’s Hakan Calhanoglu found the fault on a penalty in the first period (40th) before captain Lautaro Martinez gave his team two steps ahead with a superb curling shot (57th).
But Atalanta did not give up and quickly reacted thanks to its pair of attackers: the Nigerian Lookman took advantage of a ball poorly negotiated by the Nerazzurri to serve Scamacca, who reduced the gap (61st).
Gian Piero Gasperini’s men then pushed to come back, but the best defense in Serie A did not give in and the leader continued his excellent start to the season.
The only downside for Inter is the injury to French international Benjamin Pavard, replaced in the 33rd by Matteo Darmian. The defender suffers from “trauma to the left knee which will be assessed in the coming days”, indicated the club after the meeting.
Naples, for its part, went on to a fourth match without defeat in all competitions by winning 2-0 on the lawn of the red lantern, Salernitana.
Rudi Garcia’s team won against Filippo Inzaghi’s team thanks to Giacomo Raspadori (13th) and Eljif Elmas (82nd). With this victory, the reigning Italian champion temporarily rises to 4th place.

During its short trip to Salerno on Saturday, Napoli was still deprived of its scorer Victor Osimhen. The opportunity for Giacomo Raspadori to shine again after equalizing against AC Milan on Sunday.
Ideally served by Stanislav Lobotka, the Italian international opened the scoring in the first quarter of an hour with a right-footed shot which left Guillermo Ochoa no chance.
Eljif Elmas put Napoli away at the end of the match thanks to a great individual action (82nd).
