Rome – The Coppa Italia champion will be called Inter Milan once more in 2023. The Champions League finalists edged out a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina in the final of the Italian soccer cup at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Wednesday evening. For the “Nerazzurri” it was the ninth cup triumph in club history and the second in a row. Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez (29′, 37′) was mainly responsible for this, scoring twice before the break.
