Intercom: how to enable transcription of audio sent to HomePods [iPhone e iPad]

2024-03-13 10:00:00

A few years ago, Apple introduced the function Intercom (Intercom) for sending audio messages using the HomePod (and other Apple devices). Thus, members of a house with several Apple speakers can communicate by voice — something simpler than sending a message to each one, for example.

On iPhones and iPads, you can choose to receive a transcript of everything that was sent in a message on the intercom — it’s something we’ve already shown can be done on the Apple Watch, too.

Check out how to activate this on your smartphone and tablet! 🙂

With the Home app (Home) open, tap the “Home” tab, then the three dots (in the top right corner) and go to “Home Settings”. Select “Intercom” and choose where you prefer to receive notifications.

Then open iPhone General Settings, select Accessibility » Subtitles and Leg. Hidden and check “Show Audio Transcripts”.

Pretty cool, right?! 🔊
