Interim hospital: the government loose ballast to implement the reform

The government is letting go before launching an offensive against the rise of temporary work in hospitals. The remuneration ceiling for interim doctors will be raised knowing that hospitals are asked not to exceed it from April. Doctors working on a temporary basis can be paid up to 1,390 euros (gross) for 24 hours, against the 1,170 euros provided until today in a law dating back to 2016.

“It’s more than reasonable,” defended the Minister of Health, François Braun, on Monday during a trip to Alençon, saying again that he wanted to end the existence of a “mercenary interim”.
