International community calls for respect for election results

Through a statement, the foreign ministers of Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Uruguay, requested that the recognition of the results of the electoral process that took place on July 28.

“We are closely following the events in Venezuela and consider it essential to have guarantees that the election results will respect fully the popular will expressed by the Venezuelan people at the polls“, reads the text shared by diplomatic institutions.

Likewise, the international representatives assured that the only way to guarantee this action is allowing verification of observers and witnesses.

“This can only be achieved through a transparent vote count that allows for verification and control of the observers and delegates of all candidates”.

In different cities around the world, the Venezuelan community has gathered to celebrate the massive participation during the presidential elections.

In Asuncion, Barcelona, ​​Bogota, Buenos Aires, Madrid, among other cities, Hundreds of Venezuelans have taken to the streets to await the results, united by the hope for change.
