Jeddah: As part of restoring peace in Gaza, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone discussion with foreign ministers of various countries. The discussion was mainly regarding protecting people’s lives and the importance of implementing ceasefire. Discussed the current crisis in Gaza and the attacks on civilians. Prince Faisal bin Farhan called on the international community to play its role in enforcing the ceasefire and protecting civilian lives.
The minister commended French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna for supporting the UN resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. The two also discussed on the phone the importance of enabling relief organizations to deliver urgent and needed aid to Gaza. In a conversation with the Iranian Foreign Minister, he discussed the developments in Gaza and the importance of implementing a ceasefire to protect people’s lives. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that Prince Faisal also had discussions on the phone with foreign ministers from Spain, South Africa, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Luxembourg and Malta.
