Doha: The country has adopted a sustainable approach to labor law enforcement and modernization, Labor Minister Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Simikh Al Marri. He was speaking at a special panel discussion in Geneva on the theme ‘Qatar Labor Reforms’ in conjunction with the International Labor Conference.

The panel discussion was attended by ILO Field Operations and Partnership Vice President Moosa Umar, International Trade Union Confederation General Secretary Sharon Barrow and IOE Secretary General Roberto Santros. Participants in the discussion praised the labor reforms and legislation implemented by Qatar.

The Minister of Labor said that cooperation with international organizations in the field of labor and labor has brought about a fundamental change in the employment and trade environment of the country and over the past few years Qatar has hosted more than 100 delegates from international trade unions to understand the business situation in Qatar.
