An internationally wanted car registered in Germany caused several accidents in the center of Antwerp on Saturday, while its driver tried to flee a police check. The vehicle was probably stolen. Police managed to arrest two of the four occupants when the car had to stop due to excessive damage.

The car finally stopped, too damaged to continue. When the police arrived, the occupants had fled. She managed to catch two of them, including the suspected driver. He did not have a driving license and tested positive for cannabis.
Both suspects are of German nationality. They were arrested pending consultation with the German authorities.
