A report from Spiegel TV made 18-year-old Niclas Matthei, alias “Anzeigenhauptmeister”, an Internet phenomenon. His stated goal is to report at least one illegal parking offender in every German community. But now that doesn’t seem to be enough for him and he also wants to become active in neighboring countries.
«I will of course also be active in Austria soon. This year,” he says in an interview with “Kleine Zeitung”. His goal is to catch 10,000 parking offenders this year alone.
Physical attacks
Because of his leisure activities, the 18-year-old has been the victim of physical attacks several times. Nevertheless, he doesn’t think about quitting: “Such thoughts never existed and never will exist. No matter what happens, I won’t let anything or anyone stop me and I’ll keep going,” he says.
At the beginning of March, the teenager told 20 Minutes that Switzerland also appealed to him. «If I were to travel to Switzerland, I would go to Zurich because it is the largest city. There are certainly more people out there than in the village.” Before that, he says, he would have to learn our road traffic regulations by heart.
