During Vinz’s report entitled “Airports paralyzed, the police tapping, tapping, tapping…”, we can see all the action carried out by Code Red at the airports of Liège and Antwerp. And we can also clearly see that the police are trying to push the activists back before “hitting, hitting and hitting.” But as Vinz, also bludgeoned, points out, “they beat activists but also journalists!” And continue, with supporting images. “To control the crowd, the police do not hesitate for a single moment: they gas!” Further on, the activist explains that if his video was cut suddenly, it was because he had been hit in the back. During this Code Red action, there were more than 500 arrests in Antwerp (including around fifty judicial arrests). Contacted by us, Vinz replied that nothing was broken. “I’m fine but there are a lot of injured people.” And to insist on the fact that “the police forces do not seem to be trained in civil disobedience. It’s new to them. It comes from the UK, even though it has happened plenty of times throughout history. They don’t know how to do it and start hitting people who just walk and never break anything or hit anyone in return. This confuses the cops. There is zero opposition and they are completely letting go.”
