The bodies of two people were found on Saturday in Denderhoutem (Haaltert) in East Flanders. These are suspicious deaths, confirmed the prosecution.
The bodies were found in a house on Borrekent Street. The public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation and went to the site with a doctor, the laboratory and a team from the federal judicial police.
The prosecution will not provide further details so as not to compromise the investigation.
The circumstances of the deaths are still under investigation, but investigators are considering a double homicide. Both people died violent deaths. It is regarding a woman and her adult son.
