According to BBC Sport, the complaint was registered by the federation’s ethics committee. A statement issued by the FIA on Saturday said: “Requests and complaints are received and reviewed by the federation’s legal officer and by the ethics committee when necessary. Both operate autonomously, ensuring strict confidentiality during the review process.
Both as a result and generally, we are unable to acknowledge receipt of any complaints and are unlikely to provide further comment on complaints we may receive from anyone.”
Red Bull Racing also declined to comment, saying only that it was not aware that a complaint had been filed with the FIA. Previously, the employee of the team with whom this whole story began was suspended from work because she was accused of dishonesty.
