This Thursday, May 25 at noon, the Investigative Police (PDI) raided the Municipality of Las Condes and seized computers from officials and the Education and Health Corporation. The procedure took place within the framework of the investigation carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office for alleged irregularities in the purchase of a property for the construction of a Family Health Center (Cesfam) in the commune.
The procedure required the mayoress, Daniela Peñaloza Ramos, and other municipal officials to voluntarily submit information and certain work items.

During the raid, police officers seized the computers of the municipal secretary, Jorge Vergara Gómez, the director of the Communal Planning Secretariat, Alejandro Contreras Morales, and the general secretary of the Las Condes Education and Health Corporation, Ricardo Gutiérrez Lafrentz.
What is investigated?
The criminal investigation began due to a complaint made by the councilors of Las Condes Catalina Sann Martín (Evópoli), Sergio Melnik (Independent-Republican), Leonardo Prat (Independent-Republican) and Patricio Bopp (Independent after resigning from the UDI) in March past.
There were $430 million more that the Municipality of Las Condes would have paid for a property to build a Cesfam. This is demonstrated by the documents to which Mega Investiga had access.
“It seems irregular to me because they lied to us, they deceived us, there was an offer and they didn’t tell us, because we were not presented with that information,” Las Condes councilor Catalina San Martín explained at the time.
