invests $120M in its plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan

(CercleFinance.com) – Pfizer announced yesterday a $120 million investment in its plant in the city of Kalamazoo (Michigan, USA), in order to strengthen its production capacities in the United States and develop the production of its anti-inflammatory pill there. -Covid, Paxlovid (either nirmatrelvir tablets and ritonavir tablets).

The investment is expected to generate some 250 highly skilled jobs at the site and will expand the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Registered Raw Materials (RSMs) used to manufacture nirmatrelvir.

This project is part of Pfizer’s efforts to expand its key biopharmaceutical manufacturing in the United States.
