A joint research laboratory of the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg for the expansion of cutting-edge research.

Salzburg (OTS) – The rapid technological development (e.g. artificial intelligence, virtual reality, automation) enables new thinking in the design of the interaction between man and machine. New types of interfaces, innovations and solutions are required in order to intelligently use the opportunities in the interaction of people, digital technologies and machines in industry and in society.

The newly settled one in Salzburg III.Lab deepens the cooperation between the University of Salzburg and the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology and expands Salzburg’s leading role in the field of human-computer interaction. Economy, society, research and education benefit equally. Companies get local access to application-oriented research. The laboratory is funded by the state of Salzburg as part of the science and innovation strategy (WISS).
