In the first half, Olympiacos was the absolute dominator as they had the clearest options of the match, however, they managed to break the zero until minute 34 when Bakambu received a through ball and scored the first with a shot from his right foot.

Later in the twilight of the first half, Fortounis managed to score 2-0 with a powerful shot to the right corner, following receiving Oleg Reabciuk.

The trend continued for the second half as Olympiacos kept up the pressure and came close to scoring the third. Ionikos, for his part, defended himself in his field by attacking on the counterattack, although he never found a way to score.
