Reports indicate that the next version of the iOS 17 operating system will solve the problem of Wi-Fi disconnection that has preoccupied users since its launch in mid-September. The developer beta of iOS 17.2 is now available in preparation for its full launch this month or next, and as iClarified reports, it will address the Wi-Fi-related issue that caused random disconnections, constant loading, and slow loading times for apps and web pages. After installing the beta, “We noticed an improvement in Wi-Fi performance; however, it is still uncertain if all issues have been fully addressed,” says iClarified. The Journal app is also scheduled to launch in iOS 17.2, which Apple first introduced at WWDC. It is a journaling app through which users can record their activities and thoughts, with support for photos and audio recordings. Entries are sorted by date or users can number specific entries. The diary can be locked to protect your thoughts from prying eyes. And according to MacRumors, there are many other improvements, fixes, and changes coming as well. Among the highlights include shared Apple Music playlists, a new digital clock, new weather widgets, some improvements to iMessage, and AirPlay improvements for the upcoming Apple Vision Pro headset. Additionally, Forbes reported on a new feature in iMessage that sends you a notification when your iPhone detects that someone is spying on you. It is a good security feature that does not require the user to do anything special and helps in monitoring spyware.
