In iOS 17, Apple added a new option called “screen distance.”
As Apple explains, the option was designed “aTo reduce eye fatigue and the risk of developing myopia in children.“Obviously, this new feature also works for adults and “will warn you when you are not holding a Face ID-enabled iPhone or iPad at the recommended distance.“
As you will have understood, you will absolutely need to have a device equipped with Face ID (and iOS 17, therefore), to take advantage of it. But if that’s your case, here’s how to activate it:
Go to the settings of your iPhone or iPad Click on Screen Time Then click on Screen Distance, and activate the option
