O MacRumors pointed today that the Apple is working on new raccessibility resources for the iOS 18 e macOS 15 (codenames “Crystal” e “Glow”), aiming to improve the usability of operating systems for people with disabilities.

According to the website, iOS 18 will bring Adaptive Voice Shortcutsallowing you to customize voice commands to access features such as VoiceOver, Voice Control and Zoom, making interaction with devices more intuitive and personalized.

Furthermore, the iPhone system should expand the feature Talk Live (Live Speech) with a “Categories” section, in which users can organize phrases into personalized categories, improving personalization and accessibility.

Apple is also expected to expand support for custom font sizes in macOS 15 to more apps, in addition to those already supported like Calendar and Mail, including Books (Books), News (News), If (Stocks), Tips (Tips) e Tempo (Weather).

Sources revealed to MacRumors that Apple is testing adjusting the font size of the menu bar on macOS and that it is considering introducing eye tracking into the system, but it is not yet confirmed whether these features will be made available to end users.

Despite always announcing new accessibility features, their inclusion is not certain, as they are still in the testing phase. Maçã is expected to release the news shortly before WWDC24, as it has been doing for a few years.
