iOS Tip: How to control another Apple device from your iPhone?

It is a practical option, but as often well hidden in the accessibility settings, which iOS offers. Either a way to turn your smartphone into a remote control.

As Apple explains, the option allows you to use another device logged into the same iCloud account from an iPhone. Once connected, you can start and stop playing a media file, activate buttons or interact with Siri.

The feature, which requires iOS or iPadOS 16.2, therefore works between iPhone and iPad. To turn it on, go to Settings > Accessibility > Control nearby devices. iOS will then show you a list of your nearby available devices.
